Scoil Naomh Bríd, Culleens

We celebrated raising our second green flag on Thursday May 7th 2009 at 12.30pm. We had a great day. We dressed in green and had no homework. Before the flag raising 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th class went into the hall. We heard speeches from Mrs. Cooke, The Green Schools committee and The Chairperson of the Board of Management Mr. Gerry Mulligan and The Town Mayor Michelle Mulhern. We then looked at our "Energy and Conservation" DVD. Some children played 2 tunes on the tin whistle and 2nd class entertained us with the dance Shoe the Donkey. Ms Judge accompanied them on the accordion. We then went outside, took our places and watched the green flag being raised by the Town Mayor. The photographer Henry Wills also came.
After we went back to the classrooms and had a party. We all had a great day.
