Take the Line for a Walk
We did some art called ”Take the line for a walk”. Paul Klee was a famous artist who painted these type of paintings. We used paint on the computer to do this art. We did very well.

The L Factor
L-FactorThird class did very well in the L Factor competition on Friday evening in the Ballina Sports and Leisure Centre. Take a Line for a Walk
This week we used Paint Shop Pro to create lined pictures just like the artist Paul Klee did. We used the paint brush tool to make the black line. We then filled in the colour using the “bucket fill” tool. Have a look at some of our creations.

Today for Art we made pigs using different shapes.
We cut out a big circle for the pig’s body, a smaller one for it’s head, and a little one for it’s nose! For the ears we used 2 triangles and then 2 rectangles for the legs.

5th at J.B Yeats exhibition in Ballina
Jack Butler Yeats is considered as one of the greatest Irish painters of the 20th century. Today (Wednesday Feb 24) our class had a rare opportunity to catch a glimpse of Yeats’ many paintings. L Factor
Third class are now working really hard on a song/rap and dance for the L Factor competition. This will be held in the Ballina Leisure Centre on Friday 26th February, at 6.30. All are welcome to attend to see the results of the great work the children have done.

Before we went swimming on Wednesday 23rd of September we went to the Ballina Arts Centre. Ray drove the bus. Miss Hallinan and Mrs Melvin came with us. We saw many different pieces of art. We were able to touch and feel the pieces of artwork. Check out our pictures.
