Matisse Cut-Outs
Today we looked at some of the work by the artist Henri Matisse. Then we made our own pictures by cutting out shapes, like those used in his art, and sticking them onto coloured paper. This link will bring you to an interactive activity called Matisse Cut-Outs. http://www.pbs.org/parents/creativity/sensory/matisse.html
Science Week
Senior Infants had great fun experimenting and playing with all the science equipment on Thursday morning. Thank you Ms. Melvin and Fifth Class for bringing it into our classroom to show us.

Maths Website for Senior Infants
We looked at some number games on this website.
Maybe you could try playing some of these at home.

Senior Infants’ Shared Reading
Senior Infants have started their shared reading again. There are some nice new books for us to read. Some of these books are a bit longer than the ones we read before so they can be kept for two nights if you wish.
Senior Infants’ Science
Here are some photos of Senior Infants doing a science experiment. We were trying to find out whether water or sand would be better at blocking out noise. We found that sand was better.
