Next April/May around 146 boys and girls from 2nd class in our primary schools will receive their First Holy Communion. First Communion days are very special days for the children, their families and the parish and every year, in order to give the experience of First Communion a focus in our parish, we follow a parish programme, called Do This in Memory. This week there is a meeting of parents from children in 2nd class to explain the programme and to request their support in it. The meeting times for Culleens parents is Wednesday September 19th 2012. The meeting will be at 8.00pm in the Pastoral Centre and will be of 30 minutes duration.
The following are dates for the Do This in Memory Masses for 2nd class children
- Sunday September 30th, 2012 - St. Patrick’s Church at 10am
- Sunday November 25th, 2012 - St. Patrick’s Church at 10am
- Sunday January 27th, 2013 - St. Patrick’s Church at 10am
- Sunday February 24th, 2012 - St. Patrick’s Church at 10am
- Sunday April 14th, 2013 - St. Patrick’s Church at 10am
First Holy Communion will be on the 25th of May 2013 at 11am in St. Muredach’s Cathedral.
